Why now

Brakes, tires and alignments don't stop at the orange cables.

Most of the work you already do applies to EVs. What changes is what your technicians need to know before they lift the car, and what your customers need to see before they trust you with it.

  • Safety first.Every tech learns to recognize high-voltage components and work around them correctly.
  • A credential customers recognize. We prepare your team for the ASE xEV Level 1 and Level 2 exams.
  • No lost bay time.Coursework is online and self-paced. The hands-on session happens at your shop.
  • Work you're turning away today.EV owners need tires, brakes, suspension and alignment like everyone else.
The program

Three parts. One ready shop.

The EV & Tesla Certification Readiness Program is built for working technicians, around a working shop's schedule.

PART 01

Online coursework

Self-paced modules your technicians complete between jobs. Each module ends with a knowledge check so nothing gets skipped.

PART 02

Hands-on session

Four hours on site at your shop, on a real EV: PPE, identifying high-voltage components and service disconnects, and the lockout and zero-energy verification procedure.

PART 03

Practice testing

Full mock exams in the ASE xEV format. Technicians rework weak areas and retest, and nobody books the real exam until they're passing consistently.

Straight talk on certification

HV Ready is a training program, not a certifying body. The certification comes from ASE, the national standard for automotive technicians. Our job is to make sure every technician walks into that exam prepared. Our content is created with certified technicians and built to help techs learn faster and make it stick, and we verify it with practice testing first. Passing still depends on each technician's own effort, so we don't promise scores. Exam fees are paid directly to ASE.

Timeline

From kickoff to exam-ready.

Technicians move at their own pace. Your instructor is directly involved for the first six weeks, and your team keeps access to every module and practice test after that.

  2. Foundation courseworkAll technicians work through modules 1 to 5 online.
  3. Hands-on sessionFour hours in your shop, on a vehicle.
  4. Advanced courseworkYour lead technician completes modules 6 to 10.
  5. Practice testingMock exams, review and retest until scores are consistent.
  6. ASE examTechnicians schedule the real exam when they're ready.
Questions

What shop owners ask first.

Do my technicians have to leave the shop?

No. Coursework is online and self-paced, and the four-hour hands-on session is held at your shop at a time that works for you.

Is the price per technician?

No. The program is a flat fee that covers your whole shop, both tracks and all three parts. The only other cost is the ASE exam fee, which you pay directly to ASE.

Does this make us Tesla certified?

No. HV Ready is independent and not affiliated with Tesla, ASE or any vehicle manufacturer. The program covers how Tesla systems differ so your team knows what they're looking at, and it prepares technicians for the ASE xEV exams.

What happens after the six weeks?

Your team keeps full access to the course materials and practice tests. Further live instruction can be arranged separately.

Where do you work?

In-person sessions are currently offered across South Florida, including Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties.
